Now, the user of a mobile phone has the option of downloading ringtones from a number of websites in the privacy and convenience of their home. The process of downloading can be quick, easy and extremely simple. Usually the website will have a collection of popular music that they will make downloadable to a phone.

In addition, anyone can download their polytones that will sound very much similar to their favorite song. The mobile phone user may also have the option of choosing a particular ringtone, so as to indicate who a call or a text is coming from. Also, it will not matter what network the mobile phone is connected to, as ringtones may be downloadable to AT&T, T-Mobile, Dobson, Alltel, Sprint carriers and many more.

There are many types of cell phone ringtones available. Firstly, there is a realtone which really originates from a real artist, as the songs are not imitations or fraudulent music. These ringtones comes directly from the artist and can be downloaded in a matter of seconds. Secondly, there are the funny ringtones which are usually very creative, unique and comical sounds or words made to alert the user of an incoming call.

Thirdly, there are other tones such as rudetones, designed directly for the adults. These can be very offensive tones containing literally offensive and rude content. Other ringtones may include name tones, TV themes and silent tones, where silent tones were designed directly for teenagers, so their phones are undetected when they ring.

When downloading cell phone ringtones, one must be very careful, as most ringtone companies may give a Trojan USB or Bluetooth driver. This will yield good profits for these companies each time a ringtone is downloaded. At other times, one maybe forced to upload credit card or other important information to fraudulent websites, so in downloading favorite ringtones proceed with extreme caution.
