Free Music Ringtones

We are living in the mobile age. Most of the devices invented today are made portable. Our age old telephone has given way to something called as the Mobile Phone, which as its name suggests, is highly mobile. Recent mobile phones come with a feature that has really captivated the attention of the masses, called the ringtone.

Today, we often associate the ringing of the telephone with just a plain tone and nothing more. The sound itself sounds very harsh, loud and monotonous. Mobile phones have proved that ringtones can sound pleasant and interesting as well. Among the numerous features of a mobile phone is a ringtone, which rings, sings, talks and does many things. The best part of a ringtone is that each and every owner of a cell phone can have his/her own distinct tone or song. This feature is not available for a normal telephone. This feature allows a mobile to easily identify his phone while in a crowd.

These days, you may often see people flashing or boasting of the variety of ringtones they have on their cell phone. Today, we can have ringtones of different types of songs from different genres and not just that — you can also assign certain tones for certain people in your phone book. The Internet has played a vital role in expanding and distribution of such ringtones. If you go through the net, you will come across hundreds of Web sites that offer free ringtones. The quality of the ringtone will depend on whether you have a monophonic or a polyphonic enabled cell phone. These free ringtone sites provide the ringtones so that you can copy it on your cell phone. They also provide the actual song itself as a “True Tone” with no cost whatsoever.

Free Real Music Ringtones

Posted on 25 May 2010 by

Real Music ringtones are ringtones that came from “real” or actual songs. They use original pieces of music along with lyrics, exactly as the original recording. The format is usually MP3, WAV, WMA, etc. This feature and support for real music ringtones is being built into most new models of almost all mobile phone manufacturers. Real Music Ringtones are also called true tones, real tones, voice tones, full music or MP3 ringtones. Not all mobile phones are capable of playing real music ringtones, but if you have the new models most likely your mobile phone supports it.

This new innovation in the mobile world has greatly benefited the music industry. In US alone the sale of ringtone reached $500 million last year and is targeted to reach $600 this year that is according to songwriter and music publisher trade group BMI. Also according to Billboard ringtone sales reached $4.4 billion dollar globally last year. By comparison, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) said that sales of physical CDs, cassettes and videos fell 7.6 percent last year. Those figures clearly show how popular ringtones or real music ringtones in particular are right now.

Real music ringtones usually sales around $2.50 to $3.50 per ringtone, and with the popularity of real music ringtones I don’t see this price going down. The demand for real music ringtones is immense and ever growing. An interesting fact about this is that the majority of active users are young people. The easy access of real music ringtones through the internet has made ringtone industry a big success. Before downloading real music ringtones from a website, be sure first that they are compatible with your phone model and, second that they can be delivered over your mobile phone company’s network. You can usually see this information on the download page.

Although real music ringtones are being sold now like hot cakes, there will always be a way to get them absolutely free. There are websites that will let you download free real music ringtones in mp3 format to your computer, you can then transfer this free real music ringtone using USB data cable, blue tooth, instant message, email etc., but there is an issue of legality here. Just like all other music, real music ringtones are protected by copyrights. Meaning, unless the copyright is expired, the original artist is due a royalty for use of their work. But of course that is not my topic so let’s move on.

You can also download free real music ringtones from WAP sites, but your mobile phone must be web enabled or internet enabled. This is one of the best ways to download free real music ringtones directly to your mobile phone. You can search for WAP sites that offer this service on the internet and just follow their instruction on how to get this free real music ringtone to you mobile phone.

You can also make real music ringtones from your own music collection. There are softwares on the internet called “ringtone maker” and are designed specifically to make ringtones. These softwares are for sale, the prices vary from $10 to $20. Think of it as an investment, rather than buying one real music ringtone at a time for 2$ you can purchase a “ringtone maker” and make all the ringtones you need. Before buying one I suggest that you download a free trial of the software so you can test it first and they just pay for it once it suits your needs.

Get MP3 Music Ringtones For Your Mobile Phone

Posted on 25 May 2010 by

Free Mp3 music ring tones seem to be one of the newest and hottest trends right now. I am sure you have all noticed that when you hear a cell phone ring on the street or in a store, no longer do the phones have just standard rings, but now they sing songs. Where do these ring-tones come from? There seems to be such a wide array of possibilities as no one seems to have the same ring.

There are several websites on the Internet that give away free music tones. However there is normally some sort of cell phone limitations. For instance you may have to have a certain cell phone type or provider. Others offer free music ring-tones as bonuses for purchasing their other products.

Advantageously, many phones come with links to sites to download ring tones directly through the phone. this feature are common among recent makes of phone and they help to reduce the time involved in getting quality ring tones. Most phones manufacturers allow a certain amount of free music ring-tones for free or as a trial, maybe one or two and then you have to start paying for them. These ring tones can range from ones with only music to ones that actually have the words to the songs.

I have also noticed that many companies are now using free music ring tones as promotional gimmicks, for example Pepsi Cola. For a while when you bought a Pepsi you would look under the cap and sometimes it would say one free ring tone. You then of course had to go to some website and download from a limited list but it was still free. Sometimes you get messages from various companies giving codes to download free tones as an appreciation for patronizing them.

There was also very bizarre commercials on television in my hometown that gave you a code number to call to get a ring tone. I am still not sure what they were promoting.

I am sure more of these types of promos and free give away will continue to appear, as people continue to be obsessed with what different and crazy songs they can make their phone sing. And above all, these tones are widely cheap to get and with the current trends in the phone industries, we should expect sup rises of just about anything ring tones inclusive.
